Kate has a special interest in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, such as from a motor vehicle accident or from developmental trauma. She believes that processing the trauma that is often stuck in our bodies can illuminate the unconscious and hidden core beliefs that shape our interaction with the world in order to transform our relationship with this core material.
Kate’s work is informed by body-based psychotherapy, and utilizes cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, dialectic behavioural therapy, polyvagal therapy, and mindfulness strategies. She uses these lenses to support individuals while they work to move through the things that have kept them stuck and have prevented them from becoming their true selves.
