Kathlene is a dedicated Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) who holds a Master of Christian Studies in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trinity Western University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Alberta. She is passionate about walking alongside individuals, couples, and families, providing a safe, accepting, and deeply supportive environment where clients can share their stories and move toward lasting healing.
Kathlene provides compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based therapy for adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families. She takes a holistic and systemic approach to therapy, drawing from several proven therapeutic modalities, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment-Focused and Client-Centered Therapy, as well as play-based and sand tray therapy for younger clients.
With extensive experience supporting clients through diverse life stages, Kathlene helps individuals and families navigate concerns such as anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, parenting challenges, premarital counselling, and relationship struggles. Her particular areas of interest include supporting adults and teens as they navigate major life transitions, relationship dynamics, and personal growth. These experiences have deeply shaped her belief that every client possesses innate resilience and strength, and she considers it a collaborative honour to help clients reconnect with their inner resources and improve their relationships.
When she is not supporting clients, Kathlene enjoys spending quality time with her family, engaging in restorative activities, and exploring new ways to support her community's mental health and well-being.
