Gloria is a dedicated counselling student intern completing the final year of her Master of Counselling Psychology with City University. Originally from the United Kingdom, Gloria holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology from the University of Exeter. Since relocating to Spruce Grove in 2013, she has built a diverse career in mental health, community outreach, and psychometry across Alberta.
Gloria provides compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based therapy for youth (ages 12+), adults, and couples. She tailors her approach to meet your unique needs, drawing from several proven therapeutic modalities, including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), The Gottman Method for Couples, and Motivational Interviewing.
With over a decade of experience in the Alberta mental health landscape, Gloria has collaborated with prominent organizations. Her extensive background includes supporting individuals from all walks of life, including First Nations and Métis community members, individuals with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), and those navigating housing insecurity. These experiences have deeply shaped her belief that every individual possesses a unique and valuable story, and she considers it a profound honour to walk alongside her clients on their healing journeys.
When she is not supporting clients, Gloria enjoys immersing herself in a good book, experimenting in the kitchen, and spending quality time with her two wonderful children.
